About: I’m a fourth-year student here at the School of Informatics and Computing. I’m majoring in Media Arts and Science, specifying in game design and 3D animation, as well as minoring in Studio Art and Technology which combines traditional art and technological art.

I was born and raised in Hobart, Indiana, which is about a 2 to 2 1/2-hour drive from Indy. Ever since I was young, maybe preschool or kindergarten age, I knew I wanted to do something with art and entertainment. I’ve always wanted to work for video game companies, like Naughty Dog or Square Enix since I grew up with them, or even work in movie production, but I didn’t quite know how to get there.

S0IC has given me a jump-start on my portfolio to help me reach my goals, and even though I’m a fourth year, I still have much to learn about this ever-growing industry. I chose S0IC because I researched a lot of game/animation colleges, and IUPUI’s SoIC was in the top 50 schools for gaming, located in my home state. We’re a growing competitive school, so it helps motivate you to put your best foot forward so you can be a strong contender for companies.

I’ve been an ambassador since my freshman year, because I want to help students who may feel unsure or nervous about finding the right school for them. With that in mind, I’m always here to help!
