Yaoqi Zhou, Ph.D., director of the bioinformatics program at the School of Informatics and Computing at IUPUI, has been identified as one of the top 5 percent of cited authors for journals in biology and biochemistry. The ranking emerges from recent scholarly research and publishing analysis done by Thomson Reuters, the world’s largest international multimedia news and information reporting agency.
Zhou’s work focuses on protein structure, function and behavior. He holds a doctoral degree in chemical physics from State University of New York, Stony Brook, as well as post-doctorates in chemical engineering from North Carolina State University and computational biophysics from Harvard University.
"We are very proud to have faculty the caliber of Yaoqi Zhou at the School of Informatics and Computing,” said Tony Faiola, executive associate dean of the School of Informatics and Computing at IUPUI. “His work and accomplishments really raise the reputation and profile of our bioinformatics program at IUPUI, and inspire our students.”
