July 9, 2014
The IU School of Informatics and Computing at IUPUI (SoIC) is offering courses for SPAN students (Special Programs for Academic Nurturing) beginning this fall. Foundation and core classes of the SoIC curriculum are featured and will count towards an undergraduate degree.
Under the SPAN program, high school juniors and seniors can receive college credit AND credit toward high school graduation by successfully completing college classes in Informatics and Media Arts and Science.
The SPAN program also offers an initiative for students under the age of 15 called HASI (Highly Accelerated Scholar Initiative). Acceptance is based upon academic motivation, years completed in high school, and academic success. Interested students should meet the minimum requirements for admission into IUPUI’s SPAN Division Early College Program. See span.uc.iupui.edu for eligibility requirements.
If you have questions about eligibility or acceptance into the SPAN program, contact Vicki Daugherty at (317) 278-4123 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
