Informatics advisor Gloria Quiroz twice honored for student mentorship

Gloria Quiroz, Undergraduate Academic Advisor with the IU School of Informatics and Computing at IUPUI, was recently twice honored for her leadership and mentorship of students in the IUPUI community.

At the IUPUI Latino Student Association’s third annual César Chávez Celebration Dinner, Quiroz received the Sigueme (Follow Me) Award for her extraordinary service in providing guidance and assistance to Latino students on and off the clock. Each year, the César Chávez Celebration Dinner recognizes student, campus and community leaders for their contributions to the Latino community.

Quiroz was also honored at the IUPUI Fraternity and Sorority Life’s (FSL) third annual Leadership Reception. She received the Chapter Advisor of the Year award for her work with the Gamma Phi Omega International Sorority, Inc.
