Bioinformatics Professor to Speak at Indy Big Data Conference
February 11, 2014
Assistant professor of Bioinformatics, Dr. Sarath Janga, will address attendees at the Indy Big Data Conference, as a member of a panel of speakers that includes a number of CEOs and VPs of major technological companies and other experts in the technology field.
The one-day conference, organized and hosted by STLogics, is the first event of its kind to be held in Indianapolis, with expected attendance of over 500 business stakeholders. The conference brings a group of national and state technology experts who will be sharing their Big Data success stories that impact all industries ranging from healthcare, to professional sports, to U.S. national security. The expectation is to help business leaders obtain a greater understanding of the IT and tech fields, cloud computing, and data storage to improve their businesses and increase the odds for success and growth.
“Our Indy Big Data Conference has all the same offerings and more as similar conferences found on the East or West Coasts. But our conference is a much shorter driving distance for any attendees coming from surrounding states,” Wendy Maple, Vice President of STLogics added, “It’s a conference that you should attend to get tips on improving your business’ bottom line through Big Data.”
The conference, which gets underway with an address from Mayor Greg Ballard, will be held on Tuesday, February 11, at the JW Marriot in downtown Indianapolis.
