Graduate Certificate in Human-Computer Interaction
An online HCI opportunity
You have the option to complete this certificate entirely online.
The field of human-computer interaction touches almost everything we do. Drawing from business, psychology, computing, medicine, and other disciplines, its focus on the user experience and emerging technology is unique.
Get a solid introduction to UX design principles when you earn a graduate certificate in HCI from the IU School of Informatics and Computing at IUPUI.
Boosting your technical skill set
Knowledge of human-computer interaction makes you highly marketable, as employers seek graduates with experience in this emerging field. An understanding of the Internet of Things, as well as HCI and UX theory, is quickly becoming essential.
Financial aid available
The HCI Graduate Certificate program offers financial aid to qualified domestic applicants who are considered non-residents (for tuition purposes) of the state of Indiana. This financial aid would reduce the tuition portion of their bursar fees (the cost per credit hour) to the equivalent of the Indiana resident rate.
For maximum convenience, students have the option of completing the 15-credit-hour HCI graduate certificate entirely online.
All certificate requirements must be completed within three years and with a minimum cumulative G.P.A. of 3.0 (B). Courses with a grade below a B- will not count.
