Career Fairs

Informatics graduates are in ever-increasing demand and employers are in hot pursuit of people with those skills. Now is the time to get ready for that next big step—a job or internship in your field. Offers for the summer happen as early as the preceding fall. Networking is the best way to get started, and at a career fair, the employers come to you. You can meet them right here on campus to learn about the opportunities they offer. And we’ll prepare you to shine.

Dress for Success

Business casual to business formal is recommended—whichever is most comfortable for you. Just remember that you’ll want to look professional and appropriate for your industry.

What To Bring

Make sure you have enough printed copies of your résumé to give to company representatives. Bring something to take notes with—like a pen and paper or a device—as well as a folder to collect handouts. You should also be ready for an on-the-spot mini-interview.

Questions or Concerns?

Still not sure what to wear (or not to wear) or how best to answer a recruiter’s questions? Contact our Career Services Office for help with your résumé, interview prep, how to dress, or any other concerns you may have. Current students and alumni are welcome to use these services.
