Travis Faas received a M.S. in Applied Computer Graphics from Purdue University in 2010. He is trained in a number of web development technologies and understands a number of server-side and client-side solutions. In 2008 he helped contribute to an educational game business plan that took 3rd place in the Burton D. Morgan business plan competition. He was honored in 2009 for his excellence in graduate student teaching by the Purdue Center for Instructional Excellence. During his time as a graduate student at Purdue, Travis studied mixed reality spaces, educational technology, and human factors. Before coming to IUPUI, he spent a year and a half working for Mediasauce in Carmel, Indiana. There he created interactive experiences for a number of NBA teams and the state of Indiana.
Travis enjoys finding fun ways to teach students about programming. He remains interested in mixed realities and bringing physically distant places together in new and potentially useful ways through a combination of streaming media and virtual reality.
